Frequently Asked Questions
What is Chasingsafety.co.uk all about?
Chasing Safety is a music website dedicated to promoting UK and international bands through the mediums of live performance videos, interviews, photography, reviews and exclusive content for our online community to enjoy.
Isn’t ‘Chasing Safety’ something to do with Underoath?
Yes – it is referenced from their record ‘They’re Only Chasing Safety’. This is nothing but homage to the band as we are all fans and have nothing but the upmost respect for them.
How can I advertise on Chasingsafety.co.uk?
Please email ollie@chasingsafety.co.uk for details and pricing.
Can you come and film my band for the site?
This depends on a variety of factors; time, available crew and location. As it stands at the moment, we have very little time due to other work commitments to cover shows not already planned - but we try our best to cover a lot of shows. Please email Jamie@chasingsafety.co.uk with details about the show and we will discuss if it is feasible.
How can we download the live videos you film?
You won’t be able to download the live videos that we showcase in our live videos section due to copyright restrictions. The only place you can download content from is the ‘downloads’ section in the Chasing Safety exclusives.
Can you send me the audio recordings from the shows you film?
Definitely not. This is a very serious breach of our copyright policy and we would almost certainly have legal action taken against us for doing so.
Where can I see the rest of the show that you recorded for (band name)?
All shows we record are kept in archive on miniDV tapes, which are kept in storage by our filmers. These will never be distributed unless it is to record labels or management for further commercial exploitation.
Can you get me into (band name) ‘s show?
We only ever gain access to shows for our film crew, so getting others into shows is out of the question.
I want some work experience with Chasing Safety! Can I take some photos for you/film a show with you?
We’re always on the lookout for new talent to join our ranks on a freelance basis. If you feel you have something to offer, then please email Jamie@chasingsafety.co.uk with details about yourself, what you do and examples of your past work. Even if you don’t have any past work, it’s always worth shooting us an email anyway!
